CNC Mill Machinist - 5 Axis (Day Shift)
Industrial CNC Lathe Machinist - 2-Axis Pay: $23-28.50/hr

Day Shift for approximately 3–6 weeks

Are you an experienced CNC machinist looking for a long-term opportunity with strong earning potential and career growth? We are hiring a 2-Axis CNC Lathe Machinist for a night shift role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and a precision-focused mindset. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent role after successful completion of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 2-axis CNC lathes
- Produce quality parts to exact specifications and close tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments
- Make machine adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- Assist with process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
- Operate forklifts and lifting devices as needed
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, quality teams, and production staff
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Immediate availability to start if selected
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience in heavy manufacturing environments
- Basic math skills including geometry and algebra
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
