Southern Specialties is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our Weekend Team in our clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll work with advanced CNC press brake equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components that meet tight tolerances and demanding customer expectations.

• Enjoy a consistent schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Earn an additional 11.5% shift premium on top of your base hourly rate for every hour worked

As a Press Brake Operator, you'll play a key role in producing precision sheet metal components by:

• Setting up and operating CNC hydraulic press brake equipment
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions
• Selecting and installing the proper punches, dies, and tooling for each job
• Loading and running programs independently
• Producing parts that meet strict dimensional and quality requirements
• Deburring and finishing parts as needed
• Monitoring quality throughout production runs
• Using materials efficiently to minimize waste and scrap
• Working safely while helping maintain an organized work area

• Previous press brake, fabrication, or metal forming experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the shop floor
• Willingness to work overtime when business needs require it
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude

Employees must own or be willing to purchase the following minimum tools:

• Certified 12  Caliper
• Tape Measure
• Angle Finder

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
