Position: Join Our Team! We’re Hiring a Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications

The Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day execution and administration of LBCA’s communications, marketing and PR “marcomm” activities. This role ensures that content, platforms, and outreach tools are implemented accurately, consistently, and on schedule in alignment with LBCA’s communications strategy. The Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications actively translates plans into action and keeps communications and marketing operations running smoothly including coordination of the monthly newsletter, social media channels, website and marketing collateral.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Content Production & Platform Management:

Manage the operations of marcomm projects including the website, newsletter, social media, webinars and other collateral with tasks including:

  • Implement communication plans developed by the leadership team.
  • Coordinate release of LBCA’s monthly
    newsletter
    , including content drafts, formatting, scheduling, graphic design and list management.
  • Maintain and update the LBCA
    website
    , including coordinating content approvals, drafting graphics and posting content as needed.
  • Manage
    social media
    execution across channels including Meta (FB/Instagram), Linked In, and Bluesky using social media management tools. Draft posts and graphics for approval per the content calendar, schedule content, and monitor engagement.
  • Draft
    print and digital collateral
    , including brochures, presentations, slides, flyers, event materials, reports, and others as needed including feedback from team and volunteers.
  • Coordinate the recording, editing, and posting of
    videos
    including webinars and interviews on the website and across social media channels.
  • Coordinate
    webinars for stakeholders and professionals, edit presentations as needed, coordinate set up on a webinar platform (Zoom, Cvent or similar tool) including copy, speaker bios/headshots, slides, etc.
  • Collect, format, and post written and video
    patient stories for website and digital use.

Communications & Marketing Operations

  • Coordinate material requests across the organization and support the development of materials for fundraising, awareness campaigns, events, Board and volunteer activities.
  • Maintain organized files of collateral including templates, graphics, headshots/bios, content archives and release forms as needed.
  • Track key communications metrics (email, website, social) and assist in report preparation for leadership and Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate development and execution of the annual awareness day campaign activities including materials development, outreach and deliverable execution and tracking.
  • Support both internal and external event management including marketing and branding collateral, event development and coordination; work cross functionally to support Fundraising/Development staff as necessary.
  • Maintain press list and research publications, journalists, and influencers as needed
  • Participate in events, conferences or other in-person meetings as needed.
  • Stay abreast of digital and social media trends, best practices and tools necessary to effectively execute digital marketing campaigns, including emerging AI integrations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, marketing, or a related field required, master’s in public health or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a public health / women’s health nonprofit organization in a marketing or communications role is required, experience in the field of breast cancer preferred. (Minimum required experience should not include experience gained while pursuing an undergraduate degree.)
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with proven skills in public health writing a plus.
  • Experience managing websites, email marketing platforms, and social media accounts.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Mailchimp, Word Press, Canva, social media management tools including  and video editing tools including Canva, Vimeo or Cap Cut required, experience with AI integrations preferred.
