The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning and implementing programs for girls in grades K-12 and serves as an advocate for those children. This position is accountable for integrated management and coordination of all program delivery and support services in designated content, grade level, or geographic areas in and/or across multiple pathways. The coordinator ensures that program development and implementation support the council’s program plan and strategic business goals, maintains strict adherence to safety and security guidelines, promotes the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and outcomes, and/or links to national program curricula.
Program Coordinators work in a variety of settings at Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma.

- Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging, age-appropriate Girl Scout troop meetings and activities in community-based settings including public schools, community centers, and public housing locations, supporting leadership development, life skills, and positive youth experiences.
- Organize and facilitate field trips, special events, and overnight experiences in alignment with Girl Scout safety and program standards.
- Build supportive relationships with girls and families while fostering an inclusive, girl-centered environment.
- Train and manage volunteers to support troop activities and ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Coordinate program logistics including site partnerships, meeting space arrangements, materials, and activity supplies.
- Track attendance, maintain accurate participant records, and assist with program reporting, including grant-related documentation when applicable.
- Develop and monitor program budgets, including grant funds, to ensure expenses align with approved program plans.
- Support customer care functions by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries from families, partners, and community members.
- Cultivate relationships with school staff, community leaders, and partner organizations to strengthen recruitment, retention, and program visibility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall program operations.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license within the state of employment.
- Previous experience developing and delivering programs for grades K-12 is preferred
Required
Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain strict adherence to safety and security guidelines.
- Ability to obtain First Aid & CPR certification.
Physical and Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Physically able to move through and between offices, program centers, campgrounds, and other off-site locations, as needed.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; occasional overnights as necessary, and ability to travel as job requires.
