Internship

Overview
  • Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week
  • Internship Duration: 9/8/26 – 12/11/26
  • Location:

    Tulsa, OK or the immediate surrounding area
  • Salary: $23.00 per hour
Internship Outcomes

Individuals participating in the internship program are provided with an opportunity to:

  • Complete an internship that enriches your academic and professional resume as well as your personal life by making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising activities, logistics, and administrative support for the Tulsa market.
  • Work with Development Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support the Go Red for Women and Heart Ball fundraising campaigns.
  • Assistance with pre‑campaign planning and post‑campaign wrap‑up projects.
  • Execute external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and third‑party vendors.
  • Work within event support systems as needed to help manage data entry and run reports.
  • Develop and update marketing materials for campaigns, including save the dates, invitations, social media posts, volunteer rosters, and other needed collateral to assist in campaign promotion.
  • Assist with volunteer management, including prepping for and attending externally facing meetings (both in‑person and virtual) and board meetings.
  • Conduct prospect research to generate new leads and compile information for fundraising campaigns.
  • Support community impact events such as pop‑up health events and hands‑only CPR demonstrations.
Qualifications
  • Senior or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, marketing, event planning, non‑profit management, public relations, or a related field are preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and engaging with the community in group settings and one‑on‑one.
  • Must be comfortable with vendor outreach (phone calls & emails to vendors & donors).
  • Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
  • Demonstrated skills in effective one‑on‑one and group communications and comfort with working professionally with all levels of community leaders, volunteers, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
  • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Canva.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Required equipment:
    Reliable WiFi connection.
  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, Monday‑Friday between the hours of 8:30 am‑5:00 pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
