The Woody Guthrie Center celebrates the life, music, and artistry of the influential folk musician while seeking to ignite a passion for social change and foster a world where the values of justice, equality, and compassion prevail. The center honors Guthrie’s life and legacy by educating visitors, teachers, students and scholars about his relevance today and his important role in American history through on-site programming, classroom materials, youth music programs, artist-in-residence programs, school outreach, internships, fellowship opportunities and the Woody Guthrie Archives.

The Bob Dylan Center inspires and celebrates fearless creativity by exploring the music and artistry of the Nobel Prize–winning singer-songwriter as a catalyst for personal expression and cultural change. While the center is anchored by a permanent exhibit on the life and work of Bob Dylan, it also offers additional exhibits, public programs, performances, lectures and publications, through which it aims to foster a conversation about the role of creativity in our lives.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Mission Advancement, the Associate Manager of Membership & Annual Giving is responsible for the day-to-day administration, implementation, and growth of the membership and annual giving programs for the Woody Guthrie Center and Bob Dylan Center.

Working under the strategic direction of the Senior Director of Mission Advancement, this position executes initiatives that strengthen member and donor engagement, increase retention and participation, and generate contributed revenue in support of the American Song Archives mission. The Associate Manager builds and maintains meaningful relationships with members and annual donors, ensures exceptional stewardship and customer service, and collaborates across departments to enhance the overall supporter experience.

• Implement membership acquisition, retention, renewal, and upgrade strategies in partnership with the Senior Director of Mission Advancement.
• Manage membership campaigns, including acquisition efforts, monthly renewals, lapsed member reactivation, direct mail, email communications, online membership processing, prospecting, and community outreach initiatives.
• Monitor membership performance and recommend opportunities to increase membership participation, retention, engagement, and revenue.
• Oversee the creation, administration, fulfillment, and evaluation of membership benefits, including membership cards, member premiums, newsletters, digital content, and exclusive member experiences.
• Evaluate membership benefits and premiums to ensure strong member value and responsible use of organizational resources.
• Develop and implement innovative member recognition, engagement, and retention opportunities, including member events and community partnerships.

• Execute annual giving initiatives, including annual appeals, direct solicitation campaigns, Giving Tuesday, year-end fundraising efforts, and other annual fund programs.
• Partner with the Senior Director of Mission Advancement to strengthen member and donor relationships and encourage member-to-donor conversion.
• Cultivate, steward, and retain annual fund donors through personalized communications, recognition opportunities, and ongoing engagement.
• Support donor engagement and relationship-building efforts by tracking constituent interactions, documenting stewardship activities, and maintaining accurate records of donor cultivation opportunities.
