** What You’ll Do
** As a Unit Manager, you’ll take on a rewarding blend of leadership, clinical excellence, and teamwork. You will:
** Lead the Nursing Unit
*** Direct and support the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, developing, and implementing nursing initiatives and departmental goals.
* Maintain and update nursing policies, procedures, and reference materials to ensure current best practices are followed.
** Support Exceptional Resident Care
*** Conduct nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure they are implemented with accuracy and compassion.
* Make daily rounds to assess care quality and ensure staff performance meets professional standards.
* Review documentation and notes to ensure clear, accurate, resident-centered charting.
* Serve as a resource for resolving resident or family concerns and facilitate effective communication.
** Be a Clinical Resource & Educator
*** Provide health education to residents and families.
* Support in-service education programs such as OSHA, HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, and others.
* Assist in Quality Assurance initiatives and ongoing improvement efforts.
** Coordinate Care Planning
*** Participate in developing comprehensive resident assessments and care plans.
* Collaborate with MDS Coordinators on schedules, updates, RAPS, and Triggers.
* Encourage interdisciplinary teamwork and ensure all staff are following the resident’s individual care plan.
** Lead & Support the Nursing Team
*** Help supervise nursing staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support.
* Step in with direct nursing care when needed, especially during emergencies or staffing shortages.
* Promote a positive, collaborative, resident-focused work environment.
** Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
*** Complete required forms, reports, medical documentation, and evaluations.
* Assist in budget planning for the nursing service department.
* Ensure confidentiality of all resident information.
* Adhere to scope of practice standards and all regulatory requirements.###
** What You Bring
**** Education & Experience
*** Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
* Active LPN or RN license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
* 1–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
** Skills & Strengths
*** Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
* Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
* Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and lead in a dynamic environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; PCC experience is a plus.###

Work Environment Requirements
*** Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
* Regular walking, standing, sitting, and computer use.
* Use of standard clinical and office equipment.
* Low to moderate noise environment.
