PRN RN Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN RN to join our team at Tru Heart Home Health - Bartlesville / Okmulgee area. As a PRN RN, you will provide prescribed nursing care services to patients in their homes, following a Plan of Care (POC) according to their needs. Responsibilities- Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients, including vital signs, physical status, mental status, and diet
- Develop and implement written Plans of Care with patients following physician's orders and according to agency guidelines
- Perform and document nursing interventions, including patient education, according to the Plan of Care
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in performing baseline nursing skills, including wound care, lab draws, IVs, and more
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Document patient status accurately and concisely
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and identify areas for improvement
- Conform to all applicable Agency policies and procedures
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested
- Continuously strive to improve nursing care through in-service education, formal education, and individual research
- Assume accountability for reporting incidents and complaints according to Agency policy
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One or more years of experience in home health or hospital setting
- Competency assessments must be completed
- Current Oklahoma RN license, CPR, driver's license, and auto insurance
- Ability to interact with a computer and iPad for charting and documentation
- Ability to interact with a computer and iPad for charting and documentation
- Moderate noise level
- Inherent potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Moderate stress and emotional demands
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including homes with varying conditions
- Sitting (3-6 hours daily)
- Standing (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)
- Walking (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)
- Twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)
- Wrist deviation (side to side) and hand/wrist repetitions (up and down) (occasionally 3 hours or less daily)
