Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This role supports a Labor & Delivery unit providing care for both routine and high‑risk obstetric patients in a structured acute care environment.
Position OverviewThis assignment is ideal for experienced L&D nurses who are confident managing labor progression, high‑risk pregnancies, and assisting in surgical deliveries within a fast‑paced hospital setting.
Assignment Details- 13‑week contract
- Night shift 4x12s (18:45–07:15)
- Patient ratio: 1:3
- 15‑bed unit
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Block scheduling available
- 1 position available
Travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs. Recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during the initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax‑free stipends when applicable.
Clinical Responsibilities- Manage laboring patients and monitor fetal well‑being
- Perform cervical exams and labor progression assessments
- Administer medications including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and high‑risk births
- Circulate and recover C‑section patients
- Provide neonatal support including APGAR scoring and newborn care
- Monitor and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Document patient care in Epic EMR
- Acute care hospital setting
- Labor & Delivery unit (15 beds)
- High‑risk OB patient population
- Epic charting system
- Scrubs provided
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Travel experience
- BLS and NRP (in hand at submission)
- ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- Experience with fetal monitoring and high‑risk OB
- Must be comfortable circulating C‑sections and managing labor independently
- OK or Compact RN license (in hand at submission)
