Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting, encompassing maternal and fetal assessment, medication administration, collaboration with the healthcare team, and post‑delivery support.
Essential Work Functions- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examinations.
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols.
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
- Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies and state laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.
- One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA / ARC).
- Other relevant certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with varied personnel.
- Technical skills for fine manipulation and procedural assistance.
- Mental resilience to cope with frequent contact with the general public and deadlines under pressure.
- Visual acuity for effective communication.
