Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Cardiac Telemetry position on a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit, working night shifts with weekend requirements.

Job Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry stepdown/intermediate care unit,

• Cares for all cardiac patient needs,

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6,

• Unit is supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients,

• Night shift: 18:30-07:00,

• Travelers are required to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period,

• Holiday coverage required based on department needs,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification (must be AHA),

• NIH Certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,

• Candidates must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration,

• Copy of certifications and license verification/Nursys required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate,

• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care,

• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team,

• Must be able to apply critical thinking and decisive judgment while working with minimal supervision in a stressful environment,

• Must follow Standard Precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment,
