Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health Nurse
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with psychiatric, behavioral, and mental health conditions
- Conduct thorough assessments, including mental status examinations and risk evaluations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer and monitor psychotropic and other prescribed medications
- Perform crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques as needed
- Monitor patients for safety risks, including suicidal ideation and self‑harm behaviors
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Support patients during detoxification and withdrawal protocols (CIWA, COWS)
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions, medications, and coping strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality
- Participate in admission assessments, treatment planning, and discharge coordination
