As the Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) at The Villages at Southern Hills, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and consistent with facility policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
  • Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
  • Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
  • Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Qualifications
  • Assisted living experience required.
  • Must have Advanced Insulin Administration and Glucose Monitoring experience.
  • State certification as a nurse aide is required.
  • State‑approved medication administration certification.
  • Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
  • Highly developed observation skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
