American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical Telemetry position on Acute 9 East, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active RN license (Standard or Compact).

• Hospital-based position on Acute 9 East, a 28-bed unit serving cardiopulmonary adult patients and neuro overflow adult patients
• Cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximeter monitoring capabilities
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend requirement of up to 6 shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage based on department needs

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and record and communicate patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by state
• Covid vaccination is not required
