Registered Nurse - CVICU Nights

Schedule:

Night shifts: 3x12-hour (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required.

Job Description:

The CVICU Nights unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a critical care nurse in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, you will provide specialized nursing care to cardiac surgical and medical patients. The role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing principles and the ability to manage complex medical conditions effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in the CVICU.
• Manage ventilated patients and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results to assess patient conditions.
• Assist in the management of various cardiovascular interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and maintain patient safety at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current RN license valid in [State].
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients is preferred.
• Ability to float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU if needed.
