Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Neuro ICU - Registered Nurse

Schedule:

Nights

Requirements:

• Valid RN license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year neuro/ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience in a Trauma Level II facility preferred
• Patient-ratio experience of 2:1

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to adult patients with neurological disorders, including acute stroke and traumatic brain injury.
• Monitor and manage EVD/ICP, ventilators, and airway support.
• Conduct NIHSS assessments and manage acute stroke cases.
• Administer care for arterial lines and central lines, including vasoactive drip titration.
• Deliver post-neurosurgery care and perform comprehensive neuro assessments.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 48 hours
• Pre-approved time off: two requests allowed
• Travelers expected to float to like units within scope
