Requirements:
- Valid RN license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum of 1 year neuro/ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Experience in a Trauma Level II facility preferred
- Patient-ratio experience of 2:1
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to adult patients with neurological disorders, including acute stroke and traumatic brain injury.
- Monitor and manage EVD/ICP, ventilators, and airway support.
- Conduct NIHSS assessments and manage acute stroke cases.
- Administer care for arterial lines and central lines, including vasoactive drip titration.
- Deliver post-neurosurgery care and perform comprehensive neuro assessments.
Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 48 hours
- Pre-approved time off: two requests allowed
- Travelers expected to float to like units within scope
