We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership while delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll coordinate patient flow, support nursing staff, ensure quality patient outcomes, and serve as a key resource for your team. Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate nursing activities during assigned shifts.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Coordinate staffing based on patient census and acuity.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
- Mentor and support nursing staff while promoting teamwork.
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide clinical leadership.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Investigate patient care incidents and assist with quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Participate in orientation and development of new team members.
- Promote continuous improvement and excellent patient outcomes.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or Compact Multi-State License.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- 1–2 years of nursing experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and make sound clinical decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer skills for electronic medical records (EMR).
- Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience.
- Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing is a plus.
