The Medical Surgical Floor nurse position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced Med Surg setting. The position requires adherence to specific clinical protocols and documentation standards, ensuring high-quality patient care across various medical conditions.

• Schedule:
  
  3x12 hour days with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid BLS and ACLS certifications, NIHSS certification (or ability to obtain after offer), minimum of 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience, proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system used within the last year, and a current license to practice.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience in a teaching facility and strong IV skills are highly preferred.
• Float:
  First to Float and must be willing to float to other units as needed.
• Cancellation Policy:
  One shift can be canceled every 14 days per OSU pay period.
• Holidays and weekends:
  Minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period, including Saturday and Sunday.
• Additional Information:
  Candidates must have used EPIC at a facility within the last year and be able to complete Healthstream modules prior to orientation. NIHSS certification must be obtained before start date; failure to do so will result in contract cancellation. The unit comprises 24- and 35-bed Med Surg areas, with patient ratios of 1:5-6, and includes Cardiology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and other medical diagnoses.
  
  The position is in an acute care setting with a trauma level 3 designation.
