Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support seasonal flu vaccination clinics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering vaccines and other injections while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, accurate documentation, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Administer influenza vaccines and other prescribed injections following established clinical protocols.
- Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for any immediate adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Follow infection prevention, medication administration, and patient safety guidelines.
- Educate patients on vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management of vaccines and medical supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and clinical standards.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated experience administering injections, including vaccines, intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SQ), or other prescribed injections.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
- Previous experience in immunization, vaccination, occupational health, primary care, or public health clinics.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
