American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a valid OK or Compact RN license and prior travel experience.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
• General ED setting treating combined adult and pediatric patients, non-trauma
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
• Option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Epic EMR documentation required
• Floating to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

• Active RN license (Standard OK or Compact) currently in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; NRP preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience preferred, though candidates with less experience will be considered
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in emergency care including pediatrics, trauma, respiratory management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and psychiatric emergencies
• Experience managing ventilated patients, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, and intubation
• Experience with emergency medications including IV vasopressors and procedural sedation
• Experience with 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Experience applying splints and managing orthopedic trauma

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across adult and pediatric patient populations
• Manage a wide range of emergency conditions including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric emergencies
• Facility is a STEMI and Stroke certified center
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Former facility staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration; no more than 3 days will be auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
