Medical Surgical Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit during night shifts, ensuring patient safety and optimal recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Document patient information accurately in the EPIC system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Float between units as needed within scope, providing coverage for various patient needs.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including BLS certification and travel requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing, with either OK or Compact license required at submission.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred; 2 years is ideal.
• BLS certification required prior to start.
• Ability to work 36 or 48-hour night shifts, with float capability within scope.
• Experienced with EPIC documentation system preferred.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to unit needs, with orientation provided onsite.
