American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position requiring a compact or OK RN license and cardiac telemetry experience on a night shift schedule.

• Work on a 28-bed Acute Medical Telemetry unit serving cardiopulmonary adult patients and neuro overflow adult patients
• Cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximeter monitoring capabilities available
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit supported by PCTs and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator
• Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs available for telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Holiday coverage required based on department needs

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
