Labor & Delivery – Nursing

Shift: Nights. Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend coverage.

Bed count: 15. Patient population:
Adults.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of recent OB/L&D experience required.
• Travel experience required; facility does not accept first-time travelers.
• Basic/intermediate fetal monitoring experience required.
• Valid RN license in the state or a compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP.
• Other certifications noted: AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS.
• Key clinical skills:
  External and internal fetal monitoring, assist with vaginal delivery and C-section recovery, management of hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, neonatal resuscitation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
• Assist with labor management and delivery processes.
• Implement interventions for complications as needed, including hemorrhage management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Travelers expected to float to like units within scope as needed. Pre-approved time off must be listed at the time of submission.
