American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 1 year of circulating experience and OK or compact RN licensure for a busy surgical unit.

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule (10:30 AM - 9:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week plus call responsibilities
• Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Circulator experience of 2 years required if no prior travel experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Experience with thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, ortho/spine, and urology procedures including lobe resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy
• Skilled in emergency management, fire safety, cell saver equipment, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management

• Perform circulating RN duties across a range of surgical specialties
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for travel rate; local candidates within 75 miles may apply under local rules
• Former staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers may be considered with sufficient circulator experience
