DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active OK or compact RN license and one year of cath lab experience.
Details- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, EP lab, and hybrid OR setting
- Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Overnight, weekend, and holiday call required
- Floating to similar units within scope as needed, with brief orientation provided
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- EP experience preferred
- Experience with ACT monitoring, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and 12-lead EKG required
- Skills in cardioversion, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation monitoring, and infection prevention required
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and left/right heart catheterization required
- Familiarity with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors required
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, including cardiac mapping, ablation, and pacemaker insertion
- Assist with vascular studies and procedures such as angioplasty and endovascular interventions
- Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage post-procedure care
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former staff members must have been separated from permanent employment for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
