The West Vancouver Parks Department is accepting applications for temporary full-time Park Attendant positions primarily focusing on trail construction and maintenance.
The primary duties in this position will be comprised of a variety of tasks to support staff with maintenance for trails, playgrounds, beaches and general park areas. The work for this position is considered manual work, requiring effort and stamina. The successful candidate may also be required to periodically assist staff in other areas such as: park construction; maintaining playgrounds, sports fields, and grass areas;
horticulture; cemetery duties; and other related duties as operationally required.
- General knowledge concerning safe use of landscape maintenance equipment;
- Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit the performance of manual outdoor work in all types of weather;
- An aptitude/interest in Parks maintenance;
- Experience with trail building and carpentry would be considered an asset; and,
- Posession of a Class 5 Driver's License for the Province of BC.

Position Status:Union (WVMEA) –Temporary Full-Time
Hours of Work:40 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)
Starting Rate of Pay:$30.88 (2025 rate) plus 14% in lieu of benefits
This position has a pay structure with three steps that increase after certain hours.
