Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Quality Management System (QMS)
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for incoming, in-process, and finished goods
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal, supplier, and field issues
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, API, ASME)
- Review engineering changes from a quality and compliance perspective
- Track and report quality metrics (scrap, rework, defects, supplier quality) to support data-driven decisions
- Support supplier quality, vendor qualification, and nonconformance management
- Train internal teams on quality standards, inspection methods, and GD&T
- Perform hands-on inspection of raw materials, components, and finished products
- Verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify, document, and disposition nonconformances; support containment and corrective actions
- Maintain inspection equipment and manage calibration schedules
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Field teams to resolve quality issues
- Communicate clearly across functions regarding quality status, risks, and corrective actions
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality inspection, or a related manufacturing role
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards, including ISO 9001
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify problems, implement corrective actions, and own outcomes
- Six Sigma certification or demonstrated RCCA experience
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or similar)
- ERP experience (Acumatica preferred; Dynamics, Net Suite, SAP, JD Edwards acceptable)
- Familiarity with machining practices and mechanical components
- Bonus: Approximately 10% annual performance-based
