Role Summary
The SCADA-Operations Analyst performs field device status validations using SCADA and HMI solutions, partnering with multiple business groups to support accurate system operation. This role focuses on point‑to‑point verification between SCADA displays, HMI systems, and field devices such as RTUs and PLCs. Responsibilities include coordinating validation activities, executing repeatable workflows across high volumes of devices and points, and ensuring discrepancies are documented and escalated as needed.
The position operates with a strong emphasis on accuracy, audit‑ready recordkeeping, and compliance with Control Room Management requirements.
- Perform point‑to‑point (P2P) validations from SCADA displays through HMI to field devices (RTU/PLC), verifying signal integrity and operational accuracy.
- Validate that field inputs and control outputs are correctly represented in SCADA and function as intended between systems.
- Coordinate validation activities with IT/SCADA support teams, Pipeline Control personnel, and Field Operations to ensure correct execution and testing timing.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication to align schedules, confirm readiness, and address issues identified during validation efforts.
- Execute repeatable validation workflows across high volumes of devices and points while maintaining consistency and accuracy over extended periods.
- Maintain detailed documentation of validation steps, results, discrepancies, and resolutions using approved checklists and tracking tools.
- Identify, document, and escalate data discrepancies, communication failures, and configuration errors discovered during testing.
- Ensure all validations meet Control Room Management requirements and internal operating guidelines prior to assets being placed into service.
- Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of validation processes, SCADA displays, and system configurations.
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems, HMI interfaces, and pipeline control operations.
- Ability to manage repetitive, high‑volume technical tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce thorough, audit‑ready documentation.
- Effective communication skills to work across technical (IT/SCADA) and operational (Control Room/Field) teams.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with experience coordinating complex schedules and dependencies.
- Familiarity with validating end‑to‑end signal integrity between displays, interfaces, and field devices.
- Experience documenting issues and resolutions clearly using approved tools and checklists.
- Ability to identify and escalate configuration errors, communication failures, and data discrepancies.
- Availability to perform scheduled on‑site validation activities aligned with operational testing windows.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly
Location:
Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position is based in an office and requires employee to work on‑site.
