POSITION OVERVIEW

ADB is seeking a QAQC Specialist, Wireline to provide entry level outside plant (OSP) quality control and inspection support on various sized and scope utility construction project sites. This is a great position for anyone looking to get into the utility construction space within the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy‑in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs general inspections and quality reviews of various size and scope utility construction placement projects
  • Performs general manual strenuous labor within all‑weather conditions to resolve QAQC issues that are found that could include but not limited to; setting hand holes, digging, restoration, etc.
  • Creates and provides onsite documentation including photos, redlines, reports, status update trackers, etc.
  • Consistently meets production expectations set by members of management
  • Takes initiative and is actively engaged in training alongside experience team members learning installations, print reading, equipment operations, etc.
  • Basic ability to read prints and construction drawings to ensure quality work in adherence to customer specifications
  • General understanding and comfortability of safety risks while working in a safety sensitive position
  • Ensures company and customer property cleanliness and quality standards are met within the expectations set by members of management
  • Safety is the expectation; complete buy‑in and adherence to the safety culture and expectations by actively participating in pre‑task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organization
  • Performs other position duties when requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
  • This is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • 1 year of experience preferred but willing to train and invest in the right candidate
  • Proven experience working in a manual laborer environment in outside weather conditions strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required
  • Class A CDL License strongly preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

The starting pay for this position is $XX.XX per hour and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
