The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers, academics, and mathematicians who want to put their expertise to work on one of the most intellectually exciting challenges in technology today.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real‑world relevance and complexity
  • Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design rigorous problem statements
  • Evaluate AI‑generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and clarity
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve AI model performance
  • Ensure mathematical rigor and precision across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task‑based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in one or more areas: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
  • Comfortable coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or problem‑solving
  • Naturally detail‑oriented with a precise, rigorous approach to mathematical work
  • Strong written communication skills — you can explain complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation systems
  • Background in academic research, technical writing, or curriculum development
  • Familiarity with AI tools or mathematical reasoning benchmarks
  • Experience reviewing or grading advanced mathematical work
