Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and other appliances
  • Support food service operations by plating dishes promptly during busy hours
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and timely meal delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
  • Participate in food safety training sessions and adhere to all safety guidelines
Experience / Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is advantageous
  • Proven culinary experience in restaurant or food industry settings, including fine dining or catering environments
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and food service operations
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or related roles within the culinary field preferred
