Kitchen Assistant Manager

Role and Responsibilities

Reviewing applications and performing interviews of potential hires and the training of new employees is time consuming, so this duty is typically delegated to the assistant kitchen manager. Another key task is ensuring refrigeration temperatures, general cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and nearby areas. And of course, whenever the kitchen manager is not present, the assistant is expected to step in and perform management duties as required.

• Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
• Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders.
• Oversee the food preparation and cooking process.
• Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.
• Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.

• Basic Math and Reading.
• Computer and POS Knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• 3 years of Kitchen Experience.

• Knowledge of all temperatures and serving temperatures.
• Communication skills, ability to get along with a wide variety of personalities.
• Ability to assert yourself and delegate responsibility.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

• Requires Tulsa County Food Handler’s Permit.
• Reliable transportation a must.
• Applicants must be available to work weekends and late‑night shifts.
