Racquets Shop Merchandiser

Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Racquets Shop Merchandiser to deliver a high-end, member-focused retail experience. This role supports the Director of Racquets in the daily operations of the shop, including merchandising, inventory management, and member engagement. The ideal candidate will play a key role in curating an elevated and dynamic retail environment for both tennis and pickleball players.

• Deliver exceptional, personalized service to members and guests, creating a welcoming and elevated retail experience
• Develop a strong understanding of racquets, apparel, accessories, and current trends in tennis and pickleball
• Build relationships with members to understand preferences and recommend tailored merchandise
• Execute visually compelling merchandising strategies to maintain an organized and engaging shop environment
• Support inventory operations including purchasing, receiving, pricing, and restocking merchandise
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with reordering to ensure product availability
• Track and evaluate product performance to inform merchandising decisions
• Support marketing efforts by contributing to newsletters and social media content featuring new merchandise
• Partner with the Director of Racquets to align retail strategy with Club events
• Assist with events and daily shop operations alongside the Racquets Shop Coordinator
• Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to engage with members and support day-to-day needs

The Racquets Shop Administrator’s hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. He/she relies on Jonas (POS system) and Clubessential (website software) to accomplish his/her tasks, so – while those particular applications can be learned – the successful candidate must be proficient and comfortable using a computer.

This is an hourly-paid, overtime eligible position. Starting pay will be a base hourly rate of $21.00. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), and Christmas gratuity eligibility.
