The Freight Flow Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead is the in‑store expert for their business/department. The Lead focuses on delivering the best service to customers while providing direction and coaching to teammates.
Responsibilities- Builds and hires a strong team by observing in‑store interviews and department tours.
- Builds a people‑first culture by connecting with every teammate to develop trust, respect, and store recognition.
- Plans, organizes, and controls 30‑day schedules with the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager, aligning workforce to daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met and that daily programs and processes are executed, delegating tasks based on priority.
- Assists store leadership with general supervision, opening and closing the store, performing front‑end and cash office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards.
- Trains teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross‑training existing ones.
- Prioritizes coaching and development, teaching the “why” behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP).
- Leads by example to support the organization’s vision, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with common purpose, goals, and a hassle‑free shopping experience.
- Creates an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
- Adheres to policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while maintaining confidentiality of company information.
- Supports the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.

- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer‑focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15–50 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 70 lbs. items intermittently (up to 15 times per hour) with assistance or use of manual lifting equipment (e.g., pallet jack, dolly).
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
