Retail Store Associate Part-time

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensure that IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices.
• Build furniture as needed for new product introductions, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving; flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

• 1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector.
• Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Job type:
Permanent, Part-time (12–20 hours per week, must have full availability on weekends).

Pay range: $18.50 to $26.14 per hour.
