About the Position

Ace Retail Group (ARG), a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, operates over 250 neighborhood stores across the United States. ARG seeks a cashier to support daily store operations and maintain a welcoming customer experience.

• Customer Service
  : greet customers upon entry, thank them by name when possible, project a friendly and outgoing demeanor, clear checkout lines quickly and efficiently, answer calls and pages courteously, communicate any issues requiring management assistance, and continually build product knowledge.
• Register Operations
  : follow all cash register transaction procedures, balance the register drawer, implement any Store Support Center program or promotion at the register, and participate in store and cashier meetings.
• Front‑End Appearance and Upkeep
  : keep checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean, dust front end, ensure impulse counters are stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise, maintain shopping carts with fresh ads, keep forms and supplies stocked, decorate the front end per program guidelines, call for cart pickups when necessary, and report merchandise returns to management.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Cashier and/or customer‑service experience preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25lbs, and climb.
