Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory numbers for each Bob Mills Furniture location, as well as ensuring the location of the merchandise is correct in STORIS (the internal system we use to stay organized).RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform daily counts of merchandise in the warehouse and on the floor to ensure 100% accuracy.

Monitor and report all merchandise moves through the warehouse.

Monitor and report merchandise that is transferred, received, and shipped until it reaches its destination.

Ensure proper tagging procedures are carried out.

Resolve inventory issues through analyzing computer data, counts, and conversations with other inventory personnel

Assist with periodic inventory of the whole store.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong attention to detail.

Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.

Must be able to work in a physically demanding, labor-intensive environment.

Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions.

Capable of standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.

Minimum of 1 year of experience and/or training with cycle counts and physical inventories.

Minimum of 1 year of experience and/or training with inventory/asset control.
