You will play a critical role in promoting our brand, providing exceptional customer service, and achieving sales targets in the construction industry. This position pays a $2000 bi-weekly draw, plus a generous commission.
Responsibilities:
Identify and target potential builders, contractors, architects, and other industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
Present and demonstrate our carpet and tile products to prospective customers, highlighting their features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers while ensuring profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product knowledge and guidance.
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and address customer needs effectively.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as customer service, operations, and logistics, to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
Develop a deep understanding of our carpet and tile products, including their technical specifications, installation processes, and maintenance requirements.
Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and new product launches.
Conduct product training sessions and presentations for customers to enhance their knowledge and promote sales.
Monitor and analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators, market insights, and recommendations for improvement.
Provide feedback and suggestions to the management team regarding product enhancements, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales, preferably in the carpet and tile industry or related building materials sector.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
Strong knowledge of carpet and tile products, including their applications, installation methods, and maintenance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and credibility with customers.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using sales CRM software and MS Office suite.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations within the assigned territory.
