In-Home Sales Representative / Project Estimator

Role Overview

That 1 Painter Fort Bend County seeks an experienced In‑Home Sales Representative to maintain the highest level of customer/prospect satisfaction, estimate job costs, close new and repeat business, and achieve budgeted sales goals within the territory. The role involves in‑person appointments, follow‑through, and constant communication with prospects, clients, vendors, and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct on‑site or virtual estimates with prospects daily (Mon‑Fri, occasionally after hours or weekends).
  • Recruit and manage subcontractors (painting crews) in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Accurately estimate labor and materials and submit quotes to customers within 24 hours of the appointment.
  • Follow up on all quotes up to seven times over six months or until approved/rejected.
  • Schedule approved estimates according to management’s process.
  • Collect deposits before the start of each job.
  • Upsell clients on additional services.
  • Communicate with customers regarding colors, sheens, and basic preparations before the job starts.
  • Attend home shows, commercial trade events, and other networking events as the primary representative of the company.
  • Pursue strategic relationships, develop a referral network to generate leads, and utilize T1P processes and methodologies.
  • Use the T1P sales process, tools, software, and technology to streamline operations for customers and team members.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional, over‑the‑top customer service experience.
  • Polished, professional, and fun demeanor.
  • Highly driven and self‑motivated with strong sales acumen.
  • Open, honest communication skills and accountable behaviour.
  • Clean driving record and own transportation.
  • Housecall Pro experience is a plus (training provided).
  • Experience generating own leads through strategic relationships (training provided).
  • Strong rapport‑building skills with teammates, managers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and maintain organization.
  • Detail‑oriented, dependable, and reliable.
  • Skill to estimate product and labor costs (training provided).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Competence in using a personal computer, cell phone, and software programs.
  • Confident in communicating paint products and services (training provided).
  • Successful completion of a background and reference check.

Employment Details

Full‑time, W‑2 employee. Standard hours are approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some weekend or evening work for events and trade shows.
