Job Purpose/Overview
As Diagnostic Sales Manager, you will manage market share, book of business, and growth goals within an Oklahoma territory. You’ll promote, sell, and support Antech Reference Lab services, In‑House Diagnostics, Telemedicine offerings, and Imaging systems in partnership with Equipment Specialists and other regional Mars Science & Diagnostics offerings.
Responsibilities- Design and execute territory coverage plans to achieve optimal account coverage.
- Conduct 85%+ in‑person sales calls to animal hospitals, veterinarians, and staff, promoting and selling diagnostics solutions.
- Drive diagnostic revenue growth for Reference Lab, Imaging, and In‑House Diagnostics through new account acquisition and existing account upgrades.
- Advance sales to contract closure, obtaining required approvals and adhering to the sales operations process.
- Develop quarterly sales plans aligning with compensation objectives and execute them.
- Provide product education, training, support, and service, including in‑service and seminar consultations.
- Investigate customer needs, translate them into tailored solutions, and recommend the best product mix.
- Manage territory finances: control expenses, renew and sign contracts, and prospect new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to generate new business leads.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, and equipment specialists to secure leads and share market insights.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other systems; forecast and update sales activities daily.
- Coordinate daily support activities at client meetings and perform quarterly business reviews.
- Ensure all company assets are maintained and reported in compliance with policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Biological Sciences, Lab Sciences, Business or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of successful field sales experience, preferably in Veterinary Diagnostics.
- Proven track record of prospecting, pre‑call planning, and closing deals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; team‑oriented and consultative sales approach.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce; quick learner of new technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
- Strong sales and closing capabilities, with the ability to influence and negotiate with clients and peers.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership and customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with aptitude in presenting complex solutions.
- Capacity to work independently and under time constraints, managing multiple recurring and ad‑hoc tasks.
- Ability to train peers on sales processes and support use of collateral, systems, and assets.
- Logical reasoning and passion for the business, with a drive to achieve results.
- Adaptability to fast‑changing, complex environments and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Travel by road up to 85% of the time within the assigned territory, including overnight trips and up to 4 hours of consecutive driving.
