Market Development Representative – Hyper Steel

This role expands market presence and drives growth for our light‑gauge steel building solutions across multiple sales channels. The Market Development Representative will work closely with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, general contractors and developers to support business development, customer training and overall market expansion.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects, developers, general contractors and other key industry partners to grow market share
  • Support multiple sales channels including direct retail, distribution, dealer networks and turnkey building providers
  • Help customers understand channel differences and identify the right solutions for their business model and project needs
  • Work across a brand‑agnostic environment, supporting multiple product lines and routes to market
  • Support customers through the sales process, product education, onboarding and ongoing account development
  • Train customers on technology platforms, systems and product solutions
  • Help customers understand metal building systems, product applications and installation processes
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across various customer segments and markets
  • Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, operations, engineering and sales leadership to support customer success
  • Assist customers with navigating systems, processes, project coordination and product selection
  • Support business development initiatives focused on expanding adoption of light‑gauge steel building solutions
  • Provide high‑level customer service while resolving issues and managing expectations
  • Build credibility with customers through strong communication, product knowledge, responsiveness and relationship management
Qualifications
  • Experience with in metal building systems, metal roofing, wall panels, components or related construction products strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to connect quickly with customers
  • Sales‑oriented personality with confidence to engage customers and develop new business opportunities
  • Ability to understand and navigate multiple sales channels and customer types
  • Experience reading construction drawings or working within the construction industry preferred
  • Ability to learn technical products, systems and software platforms
  • Strong customer focus with ability to problem‑solve and manage expectations
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of customer‑facing experience preferred
Compensation

US base salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 plus bonus. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage starting day 1, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) and other typical full‑time benefits. Individual pay is determined by location, experience and qualifications.
