What you will do

In this role you will represent Johnson Controls for the promotion and sale of fire sprinkler services within the assigned territory and accounts.

  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers for system repairs and modifications.
  • Schedule sales calls, follow up on leads, and utilize outlined marketing strategies.
  • Work with the customer base to identify needs for moves, additions, and changes to existing sprinkler systems.
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to communicate Johnson Controls’ service offerings.
  • Close sales to exceed the defined sales plan objectives.
  • Read blueprints, understand NFPA 13 standards and local codes, and estimate small projects including day‑works.
  • Build and maintain positive ongoing relationships with customers.
  • Develop new business associations and grow the sprinkler service business.
Qualifications
  • Required: Two years of sprinkler field or sales experience.
  • Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and organize work.
  • Proficient use of personal computers, including Windows and Office 2007.
  • Team player; ability to work well with others.
  • Preferred: 3‑5 years industry experience.
  • Previous sprinkler design experience, including estimating and performing hydraulic calculations.
Salary and Benefits
  • Hiring salary range: $61,000 – $92,000, based on experience, credentials, and market data.
