The Inside Sales Representative – Electric Motor Shop is a full-time, on-site role based in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. This role involves responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and providing product recommendations for electric motors, bearings, power transmission components, and related industrial equipment. The Inside Sales Representative will manage inbound and outbound calls, build and maintain customer accounts, and follow up on leads to drive sales growth.
Daily responsibilities include processing orders, coordinating with the operations and repair teams to confirm product availability and service timelines, and ensuring accurate documentation in the sales system. The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and supporting a positive customer experience from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate electric motors, pumps, parts, and related products.
- Prepare accurate quotes, estimates, and sales orders.
- Research motor specifications, replacement options, pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Work with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain product information and pricing.
- Process customer orders and coordinate order fulfillment.
- Follow up on quotes and open orders to help generate sales and maintain customer relationships.
- Assist customers with identifying replacement motors and matching existing equipment to available products.
- Coordinate with the shop, service technicians, warehouse, purchasing, and outside sales staff.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the company's CRM or business system.
- Monitor inventory and assist with identifying products that need to be ordered or restocked.
- Help resolve customer issues involving orders, products, pricing, and delivery.
- Develop strong relationships with contractors, industrial customers, maintenance departments, and other accounts.
- Maintain a working knowledge of electric motors, pumps, controls, bearings, and related products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong Inside Sales skills, including experience working in an industrial or technical products environment
- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and support long-term relationships
- Lead Generation and Account Management skills to develop new business and maintain existing customer accounts
- Ability to learn and understand electric motors, bearings, power transmission components, and related industrial products
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail in quotes and order processing
- Comfort with using CRM or sales management software and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Ability to work on-site in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and collaborate with cross-functional shop and service teams
- Previous experience in industrial distribution, motor repair, or a related field is preferred but not required
