The Tulsa, OK office is seeking a Biologist / Wetland Scientist / Ecologist to assist on various types of projects primarily in the transportation, energy, and commercial markets. The successful candidate will have experience conducting field assessments for wetlands, threatened and endangered species and other related projects in the natural resources sector. Approximately 90% of the time will be dedicated to fieldwork, proposal development, and report preparation.

The successful candidate will also be involved in services related to environmental site assessments and regulatory compliance.

• Field delineations of Waters of the U.S. (including wetlands) according to USACE standards.
• Habitat assessments for threatened and endangered species.
• Stream and wetland mitigation planning.
• Mitigation site monitoring.
• Section 404 permitting.
• Preparing various types of reports and NEPA documentation.
• Environmental Site Assessments.
• Regulatory compliance.
• Assist with business development and proposal development.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in plant and wildlife identification, soils evaluation, hydrology, GPS use, mitigation planning, permit preparation, and be able to conduct work year-round in adverse climate and field conditions. The position requires strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with relevant state/federal regulations and client specific requirements. Good writing and communication skills are essential.

BS in an Environmental, Biological, Ecological Science or related field is required. 4–8 or more years of experience in conducting environmental fieldwork and reporting is preferred.

Travel is required (typically short-term) to support fieldwork across project sites.
