Security Guard III

Position:
Security Guard III at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, Oklahoma. Responsible for security and access control to Air National Guard facilities, ensuring compliance with FPCON and CLEET‑certified Armed Security Officer standards.

• Controls access to facility by verifying identity and purpose of individuals seeking entrance to installation
• Provides identification check at gate entrance, maintains visitor log, issues visitor passes, greets visitors and vendors, and keeps proper count of individuals within the installation
• Monitors facility using video camera system, alarms, and personal inspection
• Physically checks each door and vault to ensure they are locked; checks armory, facility, and out buildings for intruders and monitors video monitors routinely
• Provides security to the installation, performs identification checks, vehicle searches, ensures all personnel present proper ; denies entrance to unauthorized individuals; contacts National Guard Representative if needed
• Performs random vehicle searches as warranted by FPCON level and probable cause
• Provides direction and assistance to individuals seeking entrance and telephone callers, supplies information, and refers callers to appropriate personnel and departments; notifies County Sheriff if assistance is warranted
• Prepares documentation and daily log for incidents and/or security violations or concerns
• Develops shift rotations, manning of locations, counsels individuals, and submits requests for supplies and equipment
• Maintains a current Armed Security Guard License with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET)
• Attends CLEET mandated training per year
• Manages key control program to ensure accountability of facility keys, conducts key inventory as required
• Assists with development and implementation of staff training programs
• Willing to work day shift, swing shift, or night shift

• 18 months experience in security, law enforcement, emergency responder work, or direct care of juveniles in a secure residential facility
• Current Armed Security Guard License through CLEET
• Knowledge of routine security practices, ability to follow oral and written instructions, give clear directions, make reports, establish relationships, evaluate emergency situations
• Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to supervise the work of others
• Physical requirements:
  
  standing for long periods; work in all weather; lift minimum 15 lb; pass PAT within required time limits
• Must pass NCIC/OSBI background check, pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening, physical agility test, and maintain valid driver’s license
• FLSA Non‑Exempt status; 12‑month probationary period; eligible for T3 (secret) clearance (only U.S. citizens)
• Tobacco ‘&’ vape free facility; available for emergency call‑in

Salary: $40,000.00 annually. Benefits include matching contributions to retirement plan, 11 holidays, minimum 15 days annual and sick leave, comprehensive benefits package, and benefit allowance to offset cost of insurance premiums for employees and eligible dependents.
