Security Guard - Nights

Job Description

Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at the assigned location. Responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring for potential threats, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations.

SUN - WED 3PM to 3AM, WED - SAT 3PM to 3AM

• Patrol premises on foot and using security vehicles to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Operate surveillance tools such as cameras and monitoring systems to observe facility activity.
• Identify suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommend improvements.
• Check identification, search bags, and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Respond to emergencies (fires, medical incidents, security breaches) and coordinate with other agencies during critical situations.
• Employ de‑escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.
• Document incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.
• Respond to alarms triggered by security systems, investigate cause, and take appropriate action.
• Provide customer service to visitors, give directions, and explain facility rules and regulations.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of security equipment (cameras, alarms, access control systems).
• Escort individuals off premises when necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of previous experience preferred.

• Works effectively in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to work with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Basic experience in Microsoft Office products.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Requires working in seasonal hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust and chemical fumes.
