Manager Of Security Operations
The Manager of Security Operations provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and administrative management of Family & Children's Services' security program across multiple facilities, including Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Norman, and surrounding counties/service areas. This position provides regional security leadership, directly supervises assigned security personnel and security leaders, and provides indirect oversight and operational support to site-based security teams in other counties. The Manager of Security Operations leads all aspects of security operations, including staffing, training, performance management, security technology, incident response, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
As a member of the FCS Safety Team and Incident Response Team, this position plays a key role in organizational preparedness, crisis management, business continuity, workplace violence prevention, and regional safety initiatives. Security personnel at FCS are viewed as an extension of client care teams. The Manager of Security Operations fosters a culture that balances hospitality, customer service, and therapeutic engagement with effective security practices, utilizing traditional security skills and interventions only when necessary.

POSITION SPECIFIC
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Program Management:
- Provide strategic direction and long-term planning for the FCS Security Program across all assigned locations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized security policies, procedures, service standards, and training programs to ensure consistency across all FCS facilities.
- Serve as the organization's senior operational leader and subject matter expert for physical security, workplace violence prevention, emergency preparedness, and security operations.
- Provide leadership, direction, and operational support to security supervisors and security teams across multiple facilities in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Norman, and surrounding service areas.
- Conduct regular site visits, security assessments, operational reviews, and vulnerability analyses to evaluate effectiveness, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor security-related key performance indicators (KPIs), incident trends, compliance indicators, staffing effectiveness, and vulnerability assessments to support continuous improvement and risk reduction.
- Identify opportunities to improve security operations through innovation, technology enhancements, process improvement, and standardized security practices.
Staffing, Supervision & Contract Management:
- Direct the recruitment, selection, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, coaching, and performance management of internal security personnel and contracted security officers.
- Mentor, coach, and develop security supervisors and emerging leaders to support performance management, succession planning, employee retention, and professional development.
- Conduct regular staffing analyses and develop staffing plans that align security resources with organizational needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for contract security vendors; monitor performance, compliance, and service delivery.
- Provide operational guidance and leadership support to site-based security leaders regarding employee relations, coaching, corrective action, workforce planning, and operational expectations.
Training & Staff Development:
- Ensure all security personnel maintain current certification and competency in Therapeutic Options, Safe Clinch®, de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed care, emergency response, and workplace violence prevention.
- Develop and oversee an ongoing training program that reinforces FCS's client-centered, hospitality-focused security culture.
- Develop leadership training, security awareness programs, emergency response exercises, and succession planning initiatives for security personnel across all locations.
- Coach and mentor security staff to achieve high performance, professional growth, and alignment with FCS values.
- Promote a customer service and hospitality-focused security culture that supports the organization's mission of client care and recovery.
Safety, Incident Response & Emergency Preparedness:
- Lead security response efforts during emergencies, critical incidents, disasters, behavioral health emergencies, severe weather events, public disturbances, and organizational crises.
- Coordinate regional emergency management activities, including incident command, disaster response, evacuation planning, crisis intervention support, and business continuity efforts.
