MUST complete an application and interview prior to receiving a Skill Bridge Employment offer - Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work. Tools must be shadowed

Omni Aircraft Maintenance is looking for fixed wing aircraft mechanics to join our maintenance team in Tulsa, OK!
On the job, comprehensive training with respect to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance to all aircraft & shop equipment.
The Skill Bridge Program will be up to a 180-day internship but may be less if needed.
Throughout the program, the intern will be assessed on his basic knowledge and skill sets of the position and how he learns and grows at the job. The intern will also be assessed on his ability to be on time and his motivation to complete daily tasks. You will have on the job training support while working a schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week.
All Skill Bridge applicants must pass pre-employment background, drug, & medical screening, subject to FAA requirements and random substance abuse screening. This internship is unpaid. As a service member still on active duty, you will continue to draw all pay, allowances and medical benefits from the military. In addition, all costs associated with this internship (including, but not limited to lodging and tools) is your responsibility.
This internship does not guarantee you a job. At the completion of your internship, you will be evaluated and potentially offered a full-time position. Our intended outcome is to offer a rewarding opportunity to those who align with the specific needs of our company.
You will work closely with the supervisors, lead technician, and other mechanics to learn what it takes to be a successful aircraft maintenance technician ies include but not limited to:
- Working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, written procedures, planned work orders, technical work orders, work cards and/or any other authorized reference material as required to complete assigned work.
- Performing aircraft inspections or repairs. Sometimes in confined spaces.
- Use of company computer systems for work documentation and retrieval of documents and manuals
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures both hot and cold. Both outdoors and aircraft hangar that is not climate controlled.
- Must be able to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts and aircraft tow vehicles.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to read and write the English Language
- Experience in aircraft inspections and repairs
- Willingness and eagerness to learn
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude, excellent communication, team player, self-starter
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
All Omni Skillbridge participants will be assessed throughout the program and given feedback. Skillbridge participants who successfully complete our skillbridge internship will be considered for a full-time aircraft maintenance mechanic position at Omni Aircraft Maintenance.
