Filtrex Service Group is actively hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on commercial installations and repairs for a high-profile national client with large-scale mechanical needs. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC/R professional with strong installation and service experience in commercial or industrial environments. You’ll work closely with internal teams and field technicians to complete full-scope HVAC and refrigeration projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform commercial HVAC and refrigeration installations and repairs
- Collaborate with company technicians and internal staff to complete project scopes
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations
- Use proper tools, equipment, and methods to ensure quality workmanship
- Communicate clearly with project managers, site supervisors, and team members
- Complete required job documentation, including reports and photos
- Valid HVAC contractor or appropriate mechanical license (state-specific)
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC/R experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, piping, ventilation, and controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
- Must have own tools, reliable transportation, and required safety gear
- Ability to travel for multi-day projects (travel and lodging provided)
- Experience leading installation crews or supervising job sites
- Familiarity working with national clients and secure or high-visibility facilities
- EPA Universal Certification (a plus)
