Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining traffic control devices, setting forms, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, and pouring concrete for sign foundations; erecting pipe and angle‑iron frameworks by bolting, welding or other means prior to installation of directional and informational signs; and working from plans to locate and drill holes or hoist signs into place. Other duties include fastening signs to the framework, delineators, striping, striping removal, reflective pavement markers, lane closures, detours, placement of traffic control devices adjacent to the job site, and maintaining devices in proper location and operating condition.

Service and repair of equipment and devices are also required.

Employees must be able to show up on time, have reasonable transportation to and from work, work outdoors during heat, and be able to lift at least 100 lbs. Applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and possess a valid driver’s license. A CDL license may boost hourly wage.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is recommended but not required. Training as a traffic control technician or supervisor is recommended but not required and can be provided during employment.
